Freshmen Back to School Night
One of the top factors in determining student success is family involvement and support. Wednesday, September 1, we are hosting our second annual Freshmen Back to School Night. We want to see every parent/guardian of our ninth grade class. Teachers, counselors, and administrators will be here to meet you and welcome you to the Matador family. We will have a PTSA meeting beginning at 5:30 p.m. and the Back to School Night meeting will begin at 6:00 p.m. Meetings will be held in the Matador Arena. We look forward to four years of great success with you and your family!

Dress Code Alert
All three high schools in AUSD have modified their dress codes to be in-line with School Board Policy. Changes that students should be aware of:
1. Shorts/skirts/dresses must reach at least to mid-thigh.
2. Tops should not be low cut or revealing.
3. Shirts may not be modified to fall off of the shoulders.
Reminders: No under-garments may be exposed at anytime. Students are expected to wear pants at waist level (this means slightly above the hips)
Thank you for your cooperation and making sure San Gabriel High School is a place where the focus is always on learning.

School Starts Tuesday, August 31
It is that time! Welcome back to school. We will hand out schedules beginning at 6:45 a.m. in the P.E. area. Students with zero period are expected to attend class. All students should be on campus no later than 7:45 a.m. If you have not been to Priority Processing, please bring your paperwork. Emergency Cards will be distributed during second period.

Last Chance to Enroll Early - Monday, August 30
Thank you to all of the students who came to priority registration. Every student should do this. It gives you the opportunity to check your schedule and, if need be, see your counselor. If you could not make it in the last two weeks, you may come Monday, August 30 between 1:15 p.m. and 3:15 p.m. The process begins at the multi-purpose room. Be sure to bring an empty backpack. We will checkout your textbooks to you.

San Gabriel High School is excited to offer parents and students access to student grades and attendance through Parent Portal. Many of you have already accessed your teenager's information through Parent Portal. For those of you who have not, you may acquire your password at the San Gabriel High School Guidance Office.
